She told Marie Claire: “I had a really bad date. I mean, it was bad. I’ve been single for ages and had a date with a guy I liked.
“We went to the movies, but I could tell right away it wasn’t working. It was sort of awkward. So after the movie I came home and that was it. It just didn’t work … He just wasn’t that into me. I liked him. He knew that. But he definitely didn’t feel the same. It happens to everybody. Being famous doesn’t make you any different.”

Talking about motherhood, she said: “My boys don’t care if everything isn’t perfect, they don’t judge me. If anything, when I’m all dressed up they aren’t happy because it usually means I’m going to work. I’ve been through a lot and I’ve got to this point where I’m feeling good about being single. The best relationship I’ve ever had is with my boys.”

Chinese lawmakers want to reduce celebrities' wages

Chinese lawmakers want to reduce celebrities' wages

1 Sep - A draft was recently submitted by Chinese lawmakers to the bi-monthly session of the National People's Congress (NPC) Standing Committee - the national legislature, suggesting that stars should not be offered a hefty fee to appear on film and TV shows.
As reported on ECNS News, the State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film, and Television's (SAPPRFT) recently made a criticism against the exorbitant fees given to top stars to appear in movies and TV shows.
A state media previously reported that some top Chinese stars received over RMB 100 million for their work in either movies or TV shows. The rumours caused singer-actor Luhan to clarify his situation on Weibo, denying rumours saying that he was one of the expensive stars who was paid a hefty salary for his role in his new project, "Zetian Ji".
Some legislators agree that the hefty wages could affect the quality of the production itself, and will harm the future of the Chinese film industry. One of NPC's member stated that a decrease in the salaries of artistes will help producers and directors focus on the quality of their work instead, while helping these stars to be more disciplined and have a better public image.

More than 200 musicians filed a brief with the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals on Tuesday to express concern about the ruling last year in a case brought by the children of Marvin Gaye, who sued for copyright infringement claiming Blurred Lines copied Gaye’s hit Got To Give It Up.

The musicians said the ruling could have an “adverse impact on their own creativity, on the creativity of future artists, and on the music industry in general”.
Gaye’s descendants won a $7.4 million (around £5.6 million) verdict, which a judge reduced to $5.3 million (around £4 million).

If you want to be part of my life, make sure you are ready to accept not only the good side but also my stupid side.

A brilliant mind is useless without a humble heart. You make an impression with what you say, but you make an impact with what you do

A love Story
Is not a collection of perfect moment with a romantic beginning and a happy ending. It is about moment of insanity, moment of craziness, unreasonable fights, illogical arguments, crossing lines and putting up with “out of the blue “erratic mood swings. Being in love is not about feelings safe and feeling sure about the future. It’s about breaking you, shattering you, shuddering every single bone and pulsating every single nerve in our body and still making your bone stronger each day. It is about being vulnerable, uncertain, susceptible and still madly in love. So don’t fear love when it comes, simply because it makes you vulnerable and don’t be surprised when it leaves either. Just be glad you had the opportunity to experience it. It might last for few minutes, few days, weeks, months or years and then it might surprise you and last you a lifetime.

Me Before You Director Says Film Is ‘Misunderstood’ After Protests

Me Before You Director Says Film Is ‘Misunderstood’ After Protests

The director of drama ‘Me Before You’ has said that she hadn’t expected the furore that the movie has caused among disability campaigners and that it’s been 'misunderstood’.
The London premiere of Thea Sharrock’s movie, which stars Emilia Clarke and Sam Claflin, was picketed by protesters who have objected to its portrayal of disability and assisted suicide.
“I didn’t quite anticipate this,” she told The Hollywood Reporter of the controversy.
“The disappointing thing is when people make a protest when they haven’t either read the book or seen the film. I have no problem with people seeing this film and not liking it for 101 different reasons; you go into every project with that as a possibility.

“I understood going into it how vulnerable a topic it is and susceptible to very strong opinions. It has big themes in it that are very easy to make quick judgments on.”
*Spoiler alert ahead*
Asked how she’d respond to critics of the film, who have slammed it over its perceived message that it’s better to be dead than disabled – Claflin’s character Will takes his own life in an assisted suicide after struggling to come to terms with his quadriplegia – she said: “It’s a fundamental misunderstanding of what the message is.
“I was attracted to this because I love the almost traditional love story that lies behind it. It reminds me of films that I don’t think have been made for a while that used to be made quite a lot.
“And I love the bravery of the studios wanting to produce such a film. It’s a fictional story about how important the right to choose is. The message of the film is to live boldly, push yourself, don’t settle.”

Tom Hiddleston Debunks Claims He’s The Next James Bond

Tom Hiddleston Debunks Claims He’s The Next James Bond

British actor Tom Hiddleston’s completely dismissed the idea that he’ll become the next James Bond once current 007 Daniel Craig hangs up his tuxedo.

Speaking alongside Chris Hemsworth to an eager audience and panel at Wizard World Comic Con, the ‘Thor’ actor was quizzed on the increasing speculation that he was going to take on the icon spy role - and he had some honest thoughts on the matter, according to Comicbook:
“I’m sorry to disappoint you, everybody. I don’t think that announcement is coming. But I’m very gratified to hear the enthusiasm. There’s not much that I can say that I haven’t already said, but I know… Your guess is as good as mine to be honest.”
While the first part of this strongly implies that, to the disappointment of many, he won’t be taking over; by the end he does leave the door open, with an implication he hasn’t actually been approached for the part. However, if Barbara Broccoli, the head of Eon Productions who make the Bond films, were to come knocking it could be a hard offer to turn down. After all, it’s not difficult to imagine the suave 35-year-old as the smooth-taking spy, but it’d mean his time as God of Mischief Loki in the Marvel Cinematic Universe could come to an end.

The general impression Hiddleston’s given us is that, aside from often being evasive over whether he wants to be Bond or would accept the role, we should assume it’s not on the cards.
Having recently starred in BBC’s acclaimed drama ‘The Night Manager’, the rest of this year’s bound to be busy for Hiddleston; with both ‘Thor: Ragnarok’ and ‘Kong: Skull Island’ currently in production and due out in 2017.
There’s also a host of names being bandied around in regards who’ll step into Bond’s shoes, including Idris Elba, Emilia Clarke, Damian Lewis, Emily Blunt, and Jamie Bell - so in truth no one is any the wiser who it’ll be.
